Mumbai, April 24 (Inditop) Indian equities markets closed in the green Friday, with a key index gaining 194 points over its previous close.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 11,149.47 points, rose 194.06 points or 1.74 percent from the previous close to end trade at 11,329.05 points.

Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 1.54 percent to close at 3,476.45 points.

Broader market indices also gained, with the BSE midcap index moving up 1.86 percent, while the BSE smallcap index was up 1.71 percent.
