Mumbai, April 27 (Inditop) Indian equities markets closed in the green Monday, with a key index gaining 42 points over its previous close marking an end to a see-saw day of trading.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 11,237.42 points, rose 42.08 points or 0.38 percent from the previous close to end trade at 11,371.85 points.

However, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) lost 10.75 points to close at 3,470 points.

Broader market indices also ended in the red, with the BSE midcap index moving down 0.44 percent and the BSE smallcap index closing 1.01 percent lower.
