New Delhi, April 21 (Inditop.com) The maximum temperature in the capital witnessed a slight dip Wednesday with the weatherman predicting thundershowers in some parts.

“Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing rain, which in turn has made for a likelihood of duststorm or thundershowers in some parts of the capital later in the evening today (Wednesday). Because of this, there has been a slight dip in the day temperature,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The maximum temperature recorded Wednesday was 40.7 degrees Celsius, four degrees above the average for this time of the year. On Tuesday the maximum temperature was recorded at six notches above the average, at 41.8 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature was however quite high – at 30.5 degrees Celsius, eight notches above the average.

The weather conditions are expected to remain the same over the next two days, the Met official added.
