New Delhi, Sep 30 (Inditop.com) Known for his unconventional styling mind and creative works, fashion designer Nitin Bal Chauhan has now opted for the “Trunk Sale” route where one can visit his design studio, interact with him, select any discounted item or even order a customised item.
“It has always been my desire to take fashion to a more individualistic and personal level. Till now, customers have approached me during fairs, exhibitions and fashion weeks but the personalised touch was missing. The Trunk Sale will enable customers to come down to my studio and choose from a wider variety of items,” Chauhan told Inditop.
“I have been retailing my clothes from multi-designer stores but there, customers just get a glimpse of my creations. At the Trunk Sale, they can see all those outfits that went on the ramp and also some unreleased styles too,” he added.
Trunk Sales are a very popular concept in the West as it gives customers the opportunity to buy apparel and accessories directly from designer studios.
“There are a whole lot of things you can look forward to when entering a designer’s space. Through retail stores, we can’t show all our designs. To explore that, one has to visit a studio, take your time and indulge in shopping,” Chauhan explained.
The Trunk Sale will run Oct 2-4 at Chauhan’s Malviya Nagar studio and will offer everything a women desires – dresses, skirts, jackets and the like.
