Chandigarh, April 22 (Inditop.com) The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) will float around 13,000 residential plots and devote 92.4 acres of land for group housing projects in 2010-11, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said here Thursday.

“These residential plots will be floated in urban estates of different sectors and townships of various Haryana cities, including Faridabad, Hisar, Palwal, Jhajjar, Pataudi, Rewari, Fatehabad, Hansi, Kaithal, Rohtak and Sonipat,” Hooda said.

“Underground electricity lines would be provided in all new HUDA sectors. A budget of Rs.3,553.72 crore, including Rs.1,043 crore for carrying out different development work, has been passed. Nearly 12,097 plots will be offered to the allottees during the current year,” he added.

Hooda also announced that two percent of the total commercial sites designated as kiosks and booths in shopping centres would be reserved for the people with disabilities.

“Preference shall also be given in allotment of institutional sites earmarked as social and charitable sites to organisations constituted with people with disabilities. They will also be given 10 percent concession in the fee prescribed for membership of Gymkhana Clubs and sports facilities developed by HUDA,” he said.

HUDA has also decided to grant two years additional extension beyond 15 years to war widows and freedom fighters for completing construction on their plots. It has also approved the construction of the second unit of a sewerage treatment plant at Panchkula.
