Shimla, Sep 9 (Inditop.com) Himachal Pradesh has cleared 13 industrial proposals worth Rs.330 crore including those of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Johnson and Johnson, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said here Wednesday.

“The government Wednesday cleared proposals of 13 industrial houses at a meeting of the state-level single window clearance and monitoring authority,” he told reporters.

These projects would have an investment of Rs.330 crore and generate employment for more than 2,017 people, he said.

“Proposals of various multinational companies are still in the pipeline. These would be cleared in due course,” the chief minister said.

Since the central government’s announcement of the special industrial package for the hill state in January 2003, Himachal Pradesh has attracted investments worth around Rs.35,000 crore.

Himachal Pradesh has 38 industrial areas and 15 industrial estates.

The state government is attempting to get the special package extended to 2013, as announced originally. However, the neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana are not in favour of allowing special concessions to Himachal Pradesh.
