New Delhi, July 1 (IANS) Japanese automobile major Honda’s Indian subsidiary Friday reported a decline of 42.85 percent in its sales for June which stood at 3,455 units as against 4,595 units in June 2010.

‘We have been working with production constraints for the last few months. However, recovery efforts are going on to increasingly meet the demand,’ said Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Honda Siel Cars India.

Meanwhile, the company reported that June sales were 48 percent higher than those of May, when the company sold 2,334 units.

Segment-wise, the company sold 2,802 units of its bestselling sedan car City, followed by 361 units of its hatchback Jazz, 175 units of premium sedan Civic, 103 units of luxury sedan Accord and 14 units of its sports utility vehicle (SUV) CRV.
