New Delhi, July 1 (IANS) India’s second largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India Thursday reported a two percent dip in its total sales in June at 46,254 units compared to 47,266 vehicles sold in the year-ago period.

However, sales in the domestic market logged a 18.9 percent growth at 27,366 units over the same month last year.

Exports declined 22.1 percent at 18,888 units from 24,250 units in June last year.

‘The domestic market continues to show a steady growth but the exports have slowed down especially in the EU countries in the absence of any fresh incentives from the respective governments there,’ said Arvind Saxena, Director (Marketing and Sales).

The segment-wise cumulative sales for last month are as follows: A2 segment (Santro, i10, Getz and i20) 42,099 units; A3 Segment (Accent, Verna) 4,137 units; A5 segment (Sonata Transform) 18 units.
