Bangalore: Global IT major IBM became the lead player in x86 blade server market in India, with 51 percent market share in the second quarter as against 18 percent contraction witnessed in the segment, market research firm International Data Corp (IDC) said here Saturday.
The Indian subsidiary also remained top with 23 percent revenue share increase year-on-year, the company claimed in a statement.
The revamped server has Intel Xeon 5500 chips and can handle 3.5 times more bandwidth for enterprise computing at lower power usage.
