New Delhi, Oct 16 (Inditop.com) India has officially designated five sites for nuclear reactors to be set up by France, Russia and the United States.
The external affairs ministry has issued a press release listing the designated sites for setting up the light water reactors.
While France’s Areva has been given Jaitpur in Maharashtra, Russia got two more sites in Kudankulam in Tamil Nadu and Haripur in West Bengal. Russia is already helping in building Kudankulam 1 and 2.
Similarly, two US companies General Electric and Westinghouse have been allocated sites in Chhayamithi Virdi in Gujarat and Kovvada in Andhra Pradesh.
