New Delhi, Jan 7 (Inditop.com) The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), which protects and conserves heritage sites, has roped in the state-run agency that prints currency notes to supply tamper proof entry tickets for various sites.

The decision to hand over the printing and supply of such tickets to the Nashik-based India Security Press has been taken after finding counterfeits to gain entry to various monuments and historical sites, officials said.

“The proposed admission tickets will be printed by the India Security Press, incorporating high security features in design, paper and inks, which are very difficult to counterfeit,” an official statement said.

“This collaborative initiative between both organisations would enable secured admission tickets in hands of visitors visiting various ticketed monuments across the country.”

The Nashik-based organisation caters to security printing requirements of various government departments and organisations for passports, visas, postage stamps, postcards, stamp papers and cheques.

India Security Press is now diversifying into other products such as medallions.
