Jammu, Jan 2 (IANS) Following recent heavy snowfall in the Kashmir Valley and mountainous areas of Jammu region, the Jammu and Kashmir government Thursday ordered all divisional and district heads of civil and police administration not to leave their headquarters without prior permission.
In fresh instructions, the state’s general administration department, while referring to the previous circular instructions and the latest one issued Thursday, ordered all concerned to comply with the directions.
The circular issued Thursday further directs that the divisional commissioners and inspectors general of police of the respective divisions and zones shall not leave the headquarters without permission of Chief Secretary Muhammad Iqbal Khanday.
The order has directed all district magistrates and superintendents of police not to leave their headquarters unless permitted by their superiors to do so.
This has been done for speedy restoration of public services in the wake of the recent heavy snowfall and also to meet any eventuality arising out of a fresh snowfall in the days to come.
