Mumbai, June 30 (IANS) Subsidiaries of engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) have bagged orders worth Rs.1,383 crore, the company said in a regulatory statement Wednesday.

Part of L&T’s construction division, the Electrical and Gulf Projects Operating Company has secured orders worth Rs.1,015 crore for transmission and distribution projects.

Another company arm, the Metallurgical, Material Handling and Water Operating Company, has got an order worth Rs.368 crore from various customers.

Among the orders are construction of power substations at three locations in Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, at a cost of Rs.811 crore.

At the domestic front, L&T’s water and effluent treatment business unit won an order worth Rs.239 crore from Indian Oil Corporation for its plant at Paradip in Orissa.
