Hyderabad, Nov 30 (IANS) Lufthansa will be increasing frequency of its freighter service from Hyderabad to Frankfurt next week, an official said.
The German carrier will be operating its fifth service on Mumbai-Hyderabad-Sharja-Frankfurt route. It currently operates four freighter services a week, said D.P. Hemanth, chief operating officer, hub development, cargo, free trade zone, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL)
Hemanth told a conference of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here that Cathay Pacific is currently operating two freighter services a week.
The Hong-Kong based airline operates cargo flights on Hong Kong-Delhi-Banaglaore-Hyderabad-Hong Kong route every Thursday and on the Hong Kong-Chennai-Hyderabad-Hong Kong route every Sunday.
The third international carrier operating freighter services from Hyderabad is Thai Airways. In April this year, it introduced its first Boeing 747 freighter service in India on Bangkok-Hyderabad-Frankfurt route.
