Kolkata, Feb 24 (Inditop.com) Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee may have mentioned the “Park Circus” and “Rash Bihari” Metro stations in her budget speech Wednesday – but factually these names are incorrect!
Banerjee in her budget speech said: “The railways proposes to redevelop, re-model and rename the Metro station of Park Circus as Mother Teresa…and Rash Behari as Bhagat Singh”.
But in reality, there is a Metro station called “Park Street” in the southern part of Kolkata and the other station located on the Rash Bihari Avenue called “Kalighat” Metro station.
Both the Metro railway stations fall under Banerjee’s south Kolkata parliamentary constituency.
