New Delhi, April 9 (Inditop.com) The Max Healthcare Institute will provide training to the housekeeping and sanitation staff of the central government hospitals to improve their overall standards.
The three hospitals selected for training are Safdarjung Hospital, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital. The ministry of health and family welfare has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Max Healthcare Institute for this purpose.
The training will be imparted in a phased manner over a period of five to six months. Around 230 personnel in each hospital will be trained.
“The housekeeping staff should bring about a level of change so that it becomes a standard in housekeeping and sanitation of all public hospitals,” ministry of health and family welfare secretary Sujata Rao said.
After assessing the sanitation levels of hospitals, the training procedure will be worked out.
A “Train the Trainer” programme will be planned for 30 supervisory staff, comprising leadership development and technical module, followed by training on the standard operating procedures.
Training on hand hygiene technique method like Needle Stick Injury precautions and proper usage of heavy industry gloves and masks will also be provided.
Max Healthcare will also conduct a ‘Clean Hospital Campaign’ to create awareness on hygiene and sanitation.
