New Delhi, July 8 (Inditop.com) A mid-term review of the 11th Five-Year Plan (2007-12) will be conducted before the presentation of the budget for fiscal 2010-11, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia said here Wednesday.

“I am hopeful that the next budget will address the shortcomings of the mid-term review,” Ahluwalia told reporters after the commission’s first meeting since the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government assumed power for a second term.

The Plan panel also approved a Rs.1,350-crore for a crime tracking system, besides Rs.2,000 crore for the modernisation of medical colleges across the country.
