New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) firm Nestle India Saturday posted an increase of 9.75 percent in its net profit at Rs.213.8 crore for the quarter ended June 30 as against Rs.194.8 crore during the same period of the previous financial year.

The net sales stood at Rs.1,763 crore, up 20 percent during the quarter under review as against Rs.1,466.7 crore during the corresponding quarter of 2010-11, the company said in a statement.

‘We have now for the 18th consecutive quarter delivered profitable double-digit growth. This is clearly the result of consistent execution of our focussed strategy by people, who I believe to be one of our main competitive advantage,’ said company CMD Antonio Helio Waszyk.

While the domestic sales stood at Rs.1,643.5 crore, export sales were Rs.119.6 crore on account of volumes and selling prices.
