Mumbai, April 2 (IANS) Automobile manufacturer Nissan Motor India Thursday reported a sales growth of 24.2 percent for 2014-15 which stood at 47,474 units. The company sold 38,220 units in 2013-14.
According to the company, it is among the top three gainers in the industry in terms of sales growth rate.
“We are pleased with the progress we demonstrated in our 10th year in India. FY 14 has been a significant year when we re-established our India business with an independent sales and marketing organisation,” said Guillaume Sicard, president, Nissan India operations.
“The growth we achieved was supported by the launch of two new models and fastest growing network. As we set ourselves a target of five percent market share by FY20, we are focused on sustaining and accelerating our performance.”
The company’s sales network in the period under review grew to 176 outlets with 60 outlets added in FY14.
Currently, Nissan offer’s strong products targeting growth segments with seven models on sale from two brands, across six segments.
