Mumbai, April 2 (IANS) Ahead of the fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 5), Nokia and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Monday unveiled an interactive consumer engagement campaign ‘Nokia Channel Me’.

Bollywood actor and team co-owner Shah Rukh Khan was also present at the unveiling.
Nokia users can now create their personalised channel on www.nokiachannelme.com.
Nokia smartphone users can download the ‘Fun2Shoot’ app from Nokia Store (for Symbian smartphones) and Windows Phone Marketplace (for Nokia Lumia customers) and create their own ‘Channel Me’ and upload related content on the channel.
Consumers with the most viewed and liked content stand a chance to host a Nokia-KKR Chill party – with all perks of hosting a successful after-match party such as deciding their guest list, and inviting KKR players for it.
“This year, we take this association to the next level, by providing consumers a simple yet innovative campaign that leverages Nokia’s technological competency and Shahrukh and KKR’s unmatched fan connect,” said Viral Oza, Director- Marketing, Nokia India.
Commenting on the association with Nokia, Khan said: “I am personally very excited about the ‘Channel Me’ consumer campaign and have even launched my own channel – SRK TV on it. I am very certain that Nokia and KKR fans will have a great season this year.”
Nokia has been the presenting sponsor for KKR since IPL’s inception in 2008.
