Hyderabad, Feb 11 (Inditop.com) PEBS Pennar, a subsidiary of Pennar Industries, India’s leading engineered metal products company, Thursday formally launched its new facility near here to manufacture pre-engineered buildings with technical know-how from US-based NCI Group.
The facility has come up with an investment of Rs.105 crore at Sadashivpet on the Hyderabad-Mumbai highway, about 50 km from here. The plant has started with a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per annum and it will go up to 60,000 tonnes in the second phase.
Nrupender Rao, chairman of Pennar Industries, told reporters that the firm had secured orders of Rs.60 crore during last two and a half months and is expected to achieve a turnover of Rs.150 crore in the first year of operations.

Rao, president and CEO of PEBS Pennar, said the with this plant, Pennar Industries had diversified into the design, manufacture, supply and erection of pre-engineered steel buildings for use in setting up industrial facilities, warehouses, commercial centres, multi-storied buildings, aircraft hangars and sports complexes.
The firm sources technical know-how from NCI Group, which is one of the largest integrated providers of engineered building systems in the world. It claims to be the first company to introduce in India the revolutionary Double-Lok weather tight roofing system. Rao said the company was in talks with NCI for financial collaboration.
PEBS Pennar expects that 15 to 20 percent of its turnover would come from exports.
Nrupender Rao said Pennar Industries was on track to cross Rs.1000 crore turnover during 2010-11. “We are also looking for acquisitions,” he said.
