Ajmer, Aug 1 (IANS) After the first week of parliament’s monsoon session was washed away due to repeated opposition protests against spiralling food prices, Minister of State for Commerce Jyotiraditya Scindia Sunday said the government will control inflation very soon.
‘As made clear by the prime minister and the deputy chairman of Planning Commission, the price rise will be controlled very soon,’ Scindia said on the sidelines of a function here.
‘There have been numerous reasons behind the price rise. The oil price hike internationally has affected the situation,’ he said.
‘So far, the government and the oil companies were bearing the burden. It is for the first time that the hike has been effected,’ Scindia added.
