New Delhi, April 4 (Inditop.com) Reliance Infrastructure, part of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, Sunday said it has commissioned a 600 MW unit at the Rajiv Gandhi Khedar Thermal Power Plant (RGKTPP) at Hisar in Haryana.
The company said this was the country’s largest thermal power generating unit.
The Rs.3,800-crore project, with a total capacity of 1,200 MW, is being set up by the state government-run Haryana Power Generation Corp and executed by Reliance Infrastructure.
“This project will not only benefit the state by adding 28.8 million units of energy per day but will also create 15,000 job opportunities in the field of construction, operations and maintenance,” said S.C. Gupta, director-operations for Reliance Infrastructure.
The Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, a zero net debt company, has a market capitalisation of around $30 billion, net worth in excess of $13.6 billion, operating cash flow of $2.8 billion and net profit of around $1.8 billion.
