Mumbai, Oct 28 (Inditop.com) A key index of Indian equities markets ended trade Wednesday 0.36 percent in the negative after recouping most of its intra-day losses.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 16,335.78 points, shut shop at 16,294.38 points, down 0.36 percent or 59.02 points.

It closed Wednesday at 16,353.4 points.

The S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also in the red at 4,830.5 points, down 0.33 percent from its last close.

Broader market indices ended with mixed results, with the BSE midcap index 0.27 percent up and the BSE small cap index closing 0.33 percent lower.
