Mumbai, Aug 10 (Inditop.com) A key index of the Indian equities markets opened in the green Monday, but slipped marginally soon after. About 15 minutes into trade, it was 78 points higher that its last close.

The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened higher at 15,287.14 points, as against Friday’s close at 15,160.24 points. After 15 minutes, it was at 15,238.48 points, 78.24 or 0.52 percent up from its previous close.

The broader S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) too was trading in the positive terrain and was at 4,501.25 points, a rise of 0.44 percent.

Broader market indices were in the green, with the BSE midcap index ruling 1.19 percent higher, and the BSE smallcap index up 1.14 percent.
