Mumbai, May 13 (Inditop.com) A benchmark index of Indian equities slipped from its morning highs to rule 107 points higher than its previous close in afternoon trade Thursday.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 17,323.63 points, was ruling at 17,303.15 points, 107.34 points or 0.62 percent up from its previous close at 17,195.81 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was trading 5,207.05 points with a gain of 0.98 percent from its previous close at 5,156.65 points.
Broader market indices were doing better with the BSE midcap index ruling 1.31 percent up and the BSE smallcap index trading 1.18 percent higher.
Realty, auto and healthcare scrips saw buying interest, while metals were under pressure.
