Mumbai, Sep 30 (Inditop.com) A key index of the Indian equities markets opened in the green Wednesday and was ruling 0.51 percent higher than its previous close, about 20 minutes into trade.
The 30-share Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange opened at 16,868.46 points and moved up to 16,939.55 points, 86.64 points or 0.51 percent higher than Tuesday’s closing figure at 16,852.91 points.
Around the same time, the broader S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was at 5,026.25 points, 0.39 percent higher than its previous close at 5,006.85 points.
Broader market indices were also in the green with the BSE midcap index ruling 0.59 percent higher and the BSE smallcap index up 0.68 percent.
