Mumbai, April 30 (IANS) Three B-School students got an opportunity to shadow three key personnel from packaged food and beverage company PepsiCo India Ltd for a day as part of a campus connect programme initiated by the company, said a statement on Thursday.

The students, who were chosen from among over 5000 participants, shadowed Vipul Prakash, chief marketing officer, Samik Basu, chief human resources officer and Partho Chakrabarti, chief operating officer of the company, thereby learning the tricks of the trade.
“For any employee, engagement starts before the signing of an offer letter, and we want to build trust, which engenders loyalty. It requires open communication, clearly-articulated goals and unambiguous expectations… (it is) a programme which will help us to engage young minds and nurture future leaders,” the company’s chief human resources officer, Samik Basu, said in a statement.
The selection of the three students involved three stages of qualification – starting with a quiz on the company and was followed by creating a storyboard over the opportunities at the company. The final selection round involved making a video based on the storyboards.
