Lucknow, Oct 23 (IANS) The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to cancel allotment of industrial plots which have not been utilised by establishing industrial units within the stipulated time period, an official said Wednesday.

After serving notices and cancellations, these plots would be allotted to such investors who are really desirous of setting up industrial units, the official said.
Surya Pratap Singh, principal secretary, infrastructure and industrial development, said that a “survey will be conducted to identify such industrial plots in industrial development authorities to check if the land use allowed in the application for allotment of plots is being adhered to or not”.
“If the industrial unit has not been set up according to the land use allowed or the land is being used in violation of rules and regulations or the plot is lying unutilised after expiry of stipulated time duration allowed to set up an industrial unit, then the entrepreneur will be served the due notice and allotment will be cancelled, so that the genuinely desirous investors are provided the industrial plots,” he added.
