Mumbai, April 22 (Inditop.com) A benchmark index for Indian equities Thursday opened in the negative and was ruling 26 points lower than its previous close, minutes into trade.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 17,476.48 points, was ruling at 17,446.47 points, 26.09 points or 0.15 percent lower than its previous close at 17,472.56 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was ruling at 5,2342 points, a loss of 0.2 percent from its previous close at 5,244.9 points.
Broader market indices were flat at this time.
Scrips from energy and consumer durables saw early buys, while realty stock came under some selling pressure.
