Mumbai, April 27 (Inditop.com) A benchmark index for Indian equities Tuesday opened weak in early trade and was ruling 50 points lower than its previous close, minutes into trade.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 17,744.93 points, was ruling at 17,694.42 points, 50.86 points or 0.29 percent lower than its previous close at 17,745.28 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was ruling at 5,306.2 points, a loss of 0.31 percent from its previous close at 5,322.45 points.
Broader market indices were flat at this time.
