Ranchi, Feb 27 (Inditop.com) About 300 boxes of explosives and detonators were seized from a house in Jhrakhand’s Gumla district Saturday, police said.
Jharkhand Police in a joint operation with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), raided a house at Bhainbathan village, about 140 km from here.
“During the raid, 300 boxes were seized. Each box contained detonators, explosives and fuse wires. From the 300 boxes, around 6,000 detonators were seized. One person has been detained in this connection,” a police officer told Inditop.
According to police, the detonators and explosives were to be supplied to Maoist rebels.
