Noida, Feb 13 (Inditop.com) Four men looted Rs. 27 lakh from the cashier of a meat processing unit at gunpoint in Noida Saturday, a police official said.
The cashier and the driver of Al-Nafees Foods Ltd in Dasna town of Ghaziabad were carrying the cash in their van after withdrawing it from the Corporation Bank branch in sector 18 in Noida, when four men on two motorcycles passed them and suddenly stopped in front, forcing them to halt in front of Birla Software Ltd in sector 63.
Two of the robbers, brandishing pistols, forced open the van’s door and snatched the cash from the cashier, before fleeing the spot.
The cashier informed their company manager at Dasna and police. A police team reached the spot and took the victims to the police station.
“We have registered the case and police teams have been constituted to nab the robbers,” Inspector General of Police (Meerut Zone) Javed Akhtar said.
