New Delhi, July 17 (Inditop.com) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Friday conducted raids at the residences of top officials of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) here, a statement said.
CBI had registered a case Thursday against the chairman, advisor, deputy director, and regional officer of the AICTE.
During the raids, CBI recovered many fixed deposit receipts (FDRs), cash, and various incriminating documents.
During searches at the residence of the chairman, FDRs worth Rs.1.4 crore, and other investments worth Rs.63 lakh were recovered.
During the raid on the advisor’s house, Rs.4.25 lakh in cash and documents relating to property in Greater Noida and in Rohini in Delhi were recovered.
During searches at the residence of the Regional Officer, Bhopal, documents relating to FDRs and other investments worth Rs.32.45 lakh and documents relating to property worth Rs.26.5 lakh have been recovered.
