New Delhi, Jan 18 (Inditop.com) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over investigations into the alleged gun-battle in which Manipuri youth Chungkham Sanjit Singh was killed in Imphal July last year, an official said here Monday.
“We have taken over investigations relating to the death of Chungkham Sanjit Singh on the orders of the Imphal Bench of Guwahati High Court. Singh died in an alleged police ‘encounter’ in Imphal Bazar area July 23. In this incident, the death of an unidentified woman is also being investigated,” said a CBI spokesman.
