New Delhi, May 3 (Inditop.com) A man was stabbed to death after a fight broke out at a wedding reception here, while another man who witnessed the murder died of heart attack, police said Monday.
The incident occurred late Sunday night in Kamala Market area in central Delhi. The victims were identified as Altamus, 23, and Syed Abdul, 55.
“Altamus had gone to attend a marriage function in the neighbourhood where he got into a fight with Salman over bursting of crackers,” a police officer said.
“Salman stopped Altamus from bursting crackers and the two got into an argument and then Salman allegedly stabbed Altamus with a knife,” the officer said.
Salman immediately fled from the spot. Locals, including Abdul, took Altamus to a nearby hospital for treatment, where Altamus was pronounced dead.
“Abdul suffered a heart attack and died on way to hospital, as he was shocked by the incident,” the officer added.
A case has been registered and efforts are on to nab Salman, police said.
