Lucknow, April 30 (Inditop.com) At least five people, including three women, were killed and seven injured when a mini-truck rammed into their tempo in Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi district Friday, police said.
The accident occurred along the Varanasi-Allahabad Highway in Gopiganj area in Bhadohi, some 250 km from here, when the speeding mini-truck ploughed into the tempo, killing five passengers immediately.
“The condition of all the seven injured is critical. All are being treated in hospital,” police inspector Ajay Srivastava told reporters in Bhadohi.
A search is on for the driver of the mini-truck who fled the scene after the accident, police said.
