Washington, April 8 (Inditop) Five members of a family have been found killed in northern Alabama in what is suspected to be the latest in a series of murder-suicides that have shocked America.
Police said they found the body of Kevin Lee Garner, the suspected killer of his wife, daughter, sister and nephew, near his house in Morgan County Tuesday.
The other bodies were found in a house in Greenhill earlier in the day, police said, adding that the incident could be a result of a family feud.
Police suspect that Garner committed suicide after killing four relatives but the case is still under investigation.
Garner and his wife were undertaking divorce proceedings and had a hearing scheduled Monday. However, it was postponed to Wednesday.
The US has been shocked by several shooting incidents in the past two weeks. The latest took place in New York state last weekend, when a Vietnamese American broke into an immigration service centre and shot 13 dead before taking his own life.
