Bhubaneswar, Feb 12 (Inditop.com) A young woman sustained burn injuries after a man threw acid on her Friday in Orissa’s Berhampur town for refusing his marriage proposal, police said.
The man, whose identity has not been ascertained, flung the acid in a crowded place when the woman was going home from a temple with her brother, police officer Sarat Mohapatra told Inditop.
The victim was taken to a hospital. She sustained burn injuries on her head, face and both hands. Her condition was stated to be stable.
