Lucknow, Sep 16 (Inditop.com) A domestic help employed with a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer committed suicide by hanging himself in the government bungalow of the official, police said Wednesday.
The incident took place late Tuesday in Amod Kumar’s official residence in Butler Palace colony in the posh Hazratganj locality here. Kumar, special secretary to the government of Uttar Pradesh is in Mussoorie to attend a training programme.
“The deceased, Ramesh Pal, a native of the state’s Sitapur district, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the servants quarter. We are probing the incident,” said Alok Pathak, spokesperson of the Lucknow police.
“No suicide note has been recovered. Kumar has been informed about the incident,” he added.
