Jammu, May 9 (Inditop) A paramilitary trooper in Jammu and Kashmir Saturday shot dead his senior colleague with his service rifle after the two had a heated argument, police said.

A scuffle broke out between two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers at Shiv Mandir camp in Kishtwar town. Amid the heated argument, constable Rajinder Singh fired at his senior Bana Singh from his service rifle, police said.

“Bana received multiple bullet injuries and was declared dead in a hospital,” a police officer said.

Rajinder has been arrested.

Though the reason behind the scuffle was still unknown, the police officer said: “It appeared (it was) some disciplinary issue after which Rajinder fired at Bana Singh, who was his senior.”
