Ghaziabad, July 13 (Inditop.com) A property dealer was robbed of his Innova car and mobile phone at gunpoint here, police said Monday.
The incident occurred late Sunday night in the Raj Nagar locality under Kavi Nagar police station of Ghaziabad, police said.
“Sanjiv Tyagi along with his driver was sitting in his car outside his Raj Nagar residence when three men on a motorcycle stopped by the side of the car,” circle officer Rajesh Bharti said.
“Tyagi thought they had stopped to ask for directions, but when he opened the car’s door, one of the men snatched his phone at gunpoint and another took the keys of the car and pushed the driver out. Leaving the motorcycle behind, they fled with the car,” Bharti added.
Tyagi informed the police about the incident. He also handed over the motorcycle to the police.
The motorcycle was found to have been stolen a day ago from the Razapur locality falling under the Kavi Nagar police station.
“We have registered a case and are investigating,” Bharti said.
