Ghaziabad, July 15 (Inditop.com) A hospital here was attacked by family members of a young woman patient who alleged that a ward boy and a doctor tried to rape her and its owner ordered her to keep quiet about it.
The young woman is an engineering student who was hospitalised Tuesday after she tried to commit suicide after failing in an examination.
She alleged that a ward boy tried to rape her early Wednesday morning at the Intensive Care Unit. When she complained to a doctor, he too attempted to molest her.
The hospital owner allegedly threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the rape bid.
But the young woman narrated her suffering to her father and other family members when they met her at about 9 a.m.
Enraged, the family members and students from her college ransacked the hospital furniture and were locked in violent arguments with the police as well as the hospital staff.
On the father’s complaint, the police registered a case against the ward boy, the doctor and the hospital owner.
“We have taken the ward boy into custody and are interrogating him. We will soon initiate action against the doctors if found guilty,” said police officer Rajesh Bharti.
