Kolkata, July 4 (IANS) The West Bengal government might exempt Ramakrishna Mission-run schools from the school services examinations for recruiting teachers, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said Wednesday.

“I have already spoken to the (Education Minister) Bratya Basu. It will be discussed in the cabinet. I promise that your request to exempt mission from the school services examinations will be discussed,” said Banerjee.
She was speaking at the convocation of the Vivekananda University in Belur in neighbouring Howrah district. The university is run by the mission.
