New Delhi, Sep 20 (IANS) Small screen actress Fenil Umrigar, who recently joined the cast of popular TV show “Bade Acche Lagte Hain” as Pihu, believes that audiences will be able to relate to her character.

“If you watch the show, you will see that Pihu is like any other 23-year-old girl. She is bubbly, cheerful, arrogant, aggressive, and she also sometimes tends to show the motherly care towards her two younger sisters. So, the audience will be able to relate to my character,” Fenil told IANS in a telephonic interview from Mumbai.
The actress has featured in shows like “Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?” and “Dil Se Di Dua…Saubhagyavati Bhava?”. She is best known for her character Sanjana Roy in the show “Best Friends Forever?”.
Asked how she bag the role, Fenil said: “The casting director approached me on Facebook and he said I had to come for the audition and look test for the character. But then he got some clips of my previous show and showed it to Ekta (Kapoor) ma’am as she is very choosy about all these things.
“So after that I was just called for the look test. There were six to seven other girls who were there for the same role, but luckily I got it,” she added.
“Bade Acche Lagte Hain” started as a story of a 40-year-old man, essayed by Ram Kapoor, who had to marry a 35-year-old woman, played by Sakshi tanwar, due to family circumstances. The story then follows how the couple fall in love after marriage.
The show has taken three leaps so far and the storyline has completely changed from what it began with. Though Fenil entered the show after the third leap, the actress still feels that it’s the right time to be on the show.
“The story has completely changed, and the main focus of the show are Ram’s kids now and Pihu has become the central character.”
“Bade Acche Lagte Hain” airs on Sony Entertainment Television.
