New Delhi, March 7 (IANS) Ashvin Kumar’s “Inshallah” on football and Arun Chadha’s “Mindscape” about the differently abled’s need for intimacy were jointly named the best film on social issues at the 59th National Awards announced here Wednesday.

“Inshallah” is the tale of a Kashmiri child’s dream to play football in Brazil and how life in a silent war gets in the way. “Mindscape” reveals the differently abled’s need for intimacy, sexuality and identity.
“Mindscape” has been produced by Public Service Broadcasting Trust, while “Inshallah” is Kumar’s own production.
