For Gadhvi, producer’s satisfaction most important
Director Sanjay Gadhvi, who has given hit films like “Dhoom” and “Dhoom 2”, reveals that for him his producer’s happiness was more important than box office success and critics’ views.
“My producer should be happy, ‘Kidnap’ was made on a low budget and Ashtavinayak (producers) was very happy. I wish that people also would have liked it better,” Gadhvi told IANS.
After the success of “Dhoom” and “Dhoom 2”, he made “Kidnap” with Imran Khan and Minissha Lamba which failed to strike a chord with the audience.
“A director must think of why a producer is making a film and what he expects of the director. You need to merge what he (producer) thinks, the public wants and what you think the public wants,” he added.
