Mumbai, Sep 10 (IANS) After being featured in films like “Agneepath” and “Hera Pheri” or small screen shows like “Pavitra Rishta” and “Madhubala” – Mumbai’s chawls have now inspired a mobile action game called “Fighter Lukkha”.

The game features a protagonist named Lukkha, who takes on his archenemy Todfod.
The new launch was to offer a taste of local flavour, said Sameer Ganapathy, chief operating officer – Digital, Disney UTV.
“Chawls have been an inspiration for films, television serials and even books…making them nationally famed. The mobile audience in India has always loved content with a local flavour and our game ‘Fighter Lukkha’ provides just that. We thought why not create a game in this setup and give our audience a feel of chawls,” Ganapathy said in a statement.
“Set in a Mumbai chawl, ‘Fighter Lukkha’ showcases action, fun and strategy with great elements witnessed in a chawl – fellowship, brotherhood and togetherness. In fact, to draw inspiration, our development team even visited chawls for days together to create something true to its essence,” he added.
The users start playing as Lukkha and together with his gang members, fight against Todfod.
Like the chawl residents, who are extremely close knit and treat their neighbours like their own family members, even the game captures the essence of brotherhood that they share. In the end, it is about the victory of good over evil.
