Aditya Rou Kapur is all set to star in a new movie Fitoor in which he plays the role of a Kashmiri guy and the story seems to be covering some of the scenes from his life when he was a small kid. For this reason the younger actor selected by the casting team is a local Kashmiri boy.
After various auditions in both Mumbai and Delhi they were not able to find a good match for the character until they came across this small Kashmiri boy and they finally found the perfect fit. The reason for this is because the boy names Mohammed Abrar has a very close resemblance with Aditya Roy Kapur. The traits of how he walks and talks are quite familiar to the actor.
One of the spokesperson of the film confirmed this news and gave a statement, “Lots of auditions were done before Mohammed Abrar was finalized to play the role of younger Aditya. The team was very happy with this casting as he fits the role very well.”
The young Kashmiri boy Abrar was given proper training in acting before the movie went on the floor. He matched the role really well and it was a perfect fit for the directors. He even bonded well with Aditya Roy Kapur which made is a lot easy for everyone on the sets.
The movie is being shot in the Kashmiri Valley and apart from the young lad; many other characters in the movie that are cast are from Kashmir. So apart from the location, there is a lot more to the movie’s Kashmiri connection.
Fitoor is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and is the first film in which Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif will feature together on the big screen. The movie is said to be adopted from the novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. The making of the movie was supposed to begin quite a long time ago but it had some budget issues due to which it was stalled. But now it is back up and is scheduled to release in the first quarter of 2016.
