Mumbai, April 14 (Inditop.com) The youngest members of the cast in Britain-based Indian filmmaker Gurinder Chadha’s new film “It’s A Wonderful Afterlife” are her three-year-old twins – son Ronak and daughter Kumiko. She says they are naturals in front of the camera.
“Yes, my twins make their acting debut in my film, not once but twice. And both the times they steal the show. They first appear in a sequence in a park with my husband Paul and then later in a wedding scene throwing flowers at the bride and the groom,” Chadha told Inditop.
The twins feature in the end-titles of “It’s A Wonderful Afterlife” with their mother. “I can tell you this much, Ronak and Kumiko are naturals in front of the camera,” said the proud mother.
Schedule for a May 7 release, the film takes a comical look at the life and times of a Punjabi mother-daughter duo in West London. It stars Shabana Azmi, Shaheen Khan, Goldy Notay, Sally Hawkins, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Jimi Mistri.
Chadha’s next venture would be a children’s film set in Kerala. It would be dedicated to her twins.
